About - Kick The Bar

From the Mountains which source five of the major rivers in Wales to the shoreline where this majestic land meets the Irish Sea; Ceredigion, Mid-Wales offers some of the most stunning landscapes. Waterfalls careening down gorges carved into the landscape just as deep as ancient history of the land. From the Castle Ruins on Aberystwyth Sea front to Strada Florida Abbey where medieval princes and poets are buried side by side. What an incredible place to tell stories, old and new.

Kick The Bar, named for the good luck tradition in Aberystwyth of Kicking the Bar at the North end of the Promenade, aims to shine a spotlight on the Mid-Wales area for Film and HETV productions. Breaking down the barriers when it comes to developing the local infrastructure to meet a Feature Film or HETV production’s needs.

 We offer bespoke location and production management services, tailored to the needs of individual productions. We aspire to put Ceredigion on the map when it comes to filmmaking in Wales. 

Our partnership with Aberystwyth University provides real-world training for students, enhances the university’s role in regional development and aligns the educational and business sector in the growing creative industry. Furthering our shared interest in strengthening Mid Wales’ cultural identity and creative economy.
